Carlos Mora is a Ecuadorian Director of Photography and Photographer whos work in advertising, documentaries and tv series.

He studied filmmaking and television production with a specialization in direction of photography in Argentina. There, he developed his passion for lighting, color grading and fashion photography and studied Drone cinematography and operation.

 

Carlos has worked as a professor at  Cinema school in Quito, Ecuador and has served as a jury member in the 2018 Latin American Film Festival and 2016 Colibrí Awards.

 

He has worked as a photography director for over than 300 advertisment spots throughout his career, as well as in television series in Argentina and Ecuador.

 

As a director of photography, he won the Genero TV prize for a music video with the Australian band DEAD CAN DANCE with for their song CHILDREN OF THE SUN. He served as photography director for the film Little Block of Cement Dehsair the sea, which was nominated to the 2014 European film awards, and won prizes in various festivals such as Hamburg Film Festival (Germany), Milano Film Festival (Italy), Cork Film Festival (Ireland), Black Maria Film Festival(USA), Costa Rica Film Festival (Costa Rica). 

 

Carlos continues to work with international film producers in different countries such as the United States, Israel, and Argentina.
